Boy, that was depressing. When I went into the notes app that I use to draft these posts I saw the list of all the things that were going to happen now that I wasn’t running around like a mad thing. Not that we are out yet, but I think I can safely report the wash-up of what I did and did not do.
Did
- Work
- Clear out my home office, to have a better place to work
- Work some more
- Go the the shops incredibly frequently, hunting for those elusive out of stock items
- Read some books
Did not do
- Re-shape my habits
- Up my exercise game
- Pretty much any project that was on the list…
And you know what? This time I’m not going to beat myself up about a lack of extreme discipline and productivity. We survived, possibly even a little stronger as a family. While I have some work to do on my fitness, I ran a bit, I continue to work towards my 3rd dan black belt training. I walked the dog a lot and re-connected with my local community big time. It could have been much worse.
Thinking with love of all my family and friends out there. I hope you are staying safe and finding solace in at least some thing that you enjoy in these most unusual of times.
