Wow, this blog entry was nearly Groundhog Day – looking at where I hoped to be at and where I am at. I still did not achieve anything profound during this time at home, unless you include picking up the hobbit habit of second breakfast 🙂 and it still seems like this minimal achievement shouldn’t be the case, but it most definitely is.
Work has slowed down a little, although a new term of teaching will keep me busy. Sports are coming back, yet I seem less energised than ever to train. So many big goals for this year, most notably my third dan black belt and the goal to run the half in September in under 2hrs. Plus football season is starting up, with playing and refereeing all working back up. So why am I not training harder than ever? Fingers crossed once I start turning up, so will the motivation!
Perhaps it is not quite yet imminent enough, and perhaps the bits and pieces I’m doing are actually enough. But if you see me out running or training otherwise, feel free to remind me that I should be going faster and training harder!
