As befits my training blog I should summarise what I’ve done since I last posted, it’s been crazy with life, so glad training still got a look in, even if blogging didn’t:
Wednesday: Short run (5km) after a late night
Thursday: A bit of strength training in the morning; soccer training in the evening, and then straight to squash (not sure why my team want me – I haven’t won a single game yet, never mind a match!). Possibly playing straight after soccer training was not a great idea.
Friday: Recovery
Sat: Run around the bay with Sim, too much chatting to go fast, but very enjoyable. Forced myself into the pool for 700m while the kids did lessons.
Sun: Taekwondo in the morning; Soccer game in the afternoon.
But Sunday was really a bad news day. Heard that our Grand Master (who just got his 9th Dan in Korea) lost his wife to cancer. So sad. And then my running and soccer buddy Sue went down with a suspected torn ACL in our soccer game. Rotten luck, a bit disappointing when the ref didn’t even stop the game when she went down and the other team were still kicking around her as she lay curled on the ground…
