A brief and frustrated blog post. I have had a fairly relaxed off-season from the football field – some slow triathlons, a bit of summer soccer, limited running volume at a pretty gentle pace. Why then did I get a nasty little calf injury in my last summer soccer game, just going into the main winter season and as squash is kicking off again?
I am back doing lots of massage, stretching and calf raises and other plyometric calf exercises, but seriously… any tips?
